I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
